Was gonna wait on calmini's aal to come back in stock, but am kind of getting impatient. Anyways been looking around and seeing these OME Dakar springs being talked about. I know I can run the pack on my 1st gen, but was kinda of looking for some opinions on it and opinions about pairing it with revolvers. The aal is the last piece I need for my lift so i'm ready tp get it hear lol

Thanks

@rokdaddy, no worries man, I thought the 2nd gen packs would work across the board. Since xterror04 (hes running the prg deaver aal I think) and grantinex are both running 2nd gen springs.

Took my springs to a local shop, they added another full leaf and re-arched for just under $200. I'll report back with my review

@yellowx16, no worries man, Ya that leaf could be run, I can't speak for the flex you'd gain though. Xterror04 is running the deaver 2 leaf pack, and when I talked to him about his setup, he said flexed well with the 1st gen packs... I don't think you'll gain awhole lot through that single leaf.

heres the deaver pack,

@nmterras, I hadnt thought of that, definately interested in what terra gains from that setup

4x4parts advertises that leaf i linked at giving 1-1.5" for a 4x4, thats for a 2nd gen though so it may be different for a first gen. I just want a leveled look once i get my UCAs thats why i like that one. Rearching seems like a good option too, then you would have a lot of control over how much lift you want. Im not sure if you're like me but i definitely still want a somewhat leveled look

with xterror04's frankstein pack (deaver aal, smallest leaf from a 2nd gen pack, all mixed into the stock pack) he gained 2.5 inches, the deaver pack claims 2 inches... So i'm guessing that the height increase is gonna be the same as advertised. Gotta be careful with the 4x4parts stuff though because some items, give more height than advertised.

Granitex's pack (springs for a pro 4x + short aal) netted him about an inch increase in height.

Everything I can found points to the Old man emu's being well worth the xtra coin. The 2nd gens running them and the tacoma's running them, say they ride good and flex good which is what i'm after. The deavers would be my 2nd choice. Im still kicking it around and researching but i'm really leaning ome's just weighing the pricing. Not to mention a buddy of mine all but talked me into them today, he runs ome on his land rover discovery

The calmini' pack is on like at least a 6 week backorder, im on the list to be notified when they get everything straightened out but im getting impatient which has led to researching other packs.

If your going to spend $450 might as well toss in a little more coin to go with a custom pack designed for your 1st gen. A fresh set of springs is better then worn out ones helped with new leafs.

No experience with these guys but I've had them bookmarked awhile.
