There is the video of the last issue standing between me and an extensive write up for all you 1st genners out there wanting to do the retrofit. My lights are like shuttering over bumps and I need to figure out what is moving and how to stop it. I have disassembled and reassebled the lights multiply times making sure it is not the projector moving. So that leaves the bulb which I "secured" with silicon so I doubt that is moving or the more likely culprit the whole housing shaking over sharper bumps. You can see it a little in the video trust me if you watch the light it is there and it moves. Watch for the man hole covers those are what I used to make it shutter. I just can't think straight most of me wants to jbweld the adjuster joints into a good position and hope those had some play and were the culprit, another part of me wants to drill a bracket to the headlight and to the frame on the sides not supported by the adjustment screws so that it can not move at all. But both of those plans are "semi permanent" and if I did those and it still shuttered then I would be SOL. I know that it doesn't look like much when you see it, but in person it looks a lot more noticable over the bumps and I paid close to 450 bucks when all is said in done to do this I want it to F&#(kin work perfectly

You can see it better if you don't maximize it and pixelate it also it is a loud video so feel free to mute your comps

Thanks Nation once we get these fixed a nice long fat write up is in it for our DIY section.

lol thanks for the compliments guys but lets save that for the finished thread. I need some ideas for what causes the shutter. I noticed on one bump the beam moves slightly then back to place all in about 2 second so its not flickering its shuttering from the manholes causing a jolt. I just don't know what is moving bulb housing possibly the shield I have no idea

The headlight housings assumming your still using the eagle eye headlamps are pretty loose. The plastic fasteners have quite a bit of slop. Which could create the shutter.

that's what I was thinking exactly so what should I do to secure it

I've been thinking about some kind of rubberized glue. Like Goop or Shoe Goo right over the plastic fasteners to help lock out or absorb the play. Been a while since I have looked at it to see how feasible it is.

see Idk because its fairly secure if I give it a little muscle there is some play so Idk if rubberized glue would be sufficiant

Yea the whole housings are definitely pretty loose I have noticed. Mine dont seem to shutter that bad but when Im washing the lens a little bit of pressure is enough to move them

so what should I do to secure them so there is no motion. Its driving me nuts.

I did that to an extent with the bearings for the left and right adjustment but the up and down is impossible to remove. And after the partial swap it still does it. And I'm heading back to school today so my ability to work on them in a garage is gone
