hey everyone, name is mike and im from Riverside, CA. i drive a 2006 xterra off road. i have been intrigued by xterra for along time now and was finally able to afford one. my wife and i are very active and love camping, surfing, mtn.bikes, hiking and anything adventurous. i am a newbie to the 4wd world and Nissan world and cant wait to explorer.

BTW I'm originally from the So Cal area (Costa Mesa), and because you love camp and want to Off Road - I would highly recommend researching the "Yellow Post Camp Sites in Big Bear - they are all very remote (not a camp ground) and you need to go to the Discovery Center in Big Bear to find that sites that are available, they have pictures as well as parking limits (2-4 vehicles per site) and most important is the 4WD only sites. Best of ALL the camping was FREE!!! They don't advertise the Yellow Post sites on their Website - so give them a call. BTW my Stock 2000 Xterra 4WD did great all over the mountain - make sure you get the map of all the fire roads - they sure come in handy when your just exploring.
