MPG Guage

I know some models come with this feature already installed from the factory where it will display your MPG. Just wondering if anyone knew if you could purchase this equipment or have it programmed to show this information. Any after market solutions would be helpful as well. Just look for something to show real time MPG.

Everything I found on google says no.:Annoyed:

It's been teasing me when the sun hits the LCD, I know it has it in there, my trip button knob turns and everything. I got a PRO-4X, I thought it was supposed to have all the toys. Maybe if I wink 3 times, blow the horn, and slam the rear passenger door while sticking my tongue out, it might come on.

I was considering the Ultragauge, looks really cool, but reports of unusual happenings with vehicle operation, likely a result of too much demand on the bus, scared me away from it. I'd still like it if I knew for certain it wouldn't goof with the computer, which it's not supposed to, but I heard enough reports that I'm apprehensive.

If you have an android phone purchase a Bluetooth obd2 reader and download the program torque on your phone.. I have a elm327 reader ($13 on amazon) and it works great

I have the kiwi wifi, and a buddy let me borrow his scanguage 2. Its simpler, but I like the scan gauge. I don't have to sync it, it comes on automatically, and it remembers the previous drives. The iPhone android ones look great and show the data in custom analog displays, but it can't log a trip for a couple days or tell you about trends in your driving and gas usage.
