Looking for build advice

So I have quite a few things planned but I need some opinions before I go spending a ton of money.

Interior:
My headliner is drooping. And I want to get a new one though Im not sure which color to get.
I have a silver 04. So I have that grey/ charcoal / tan interior.
Not sure if I should keep it tan or go black.

I'm also getting leather seats. Not sure what color either.

Then comes the alternator question.
Should I buy a quest alternator with 30k on it cheap or save up for a mean green.

I have more questions but I'll ask later.

Headliner, depends if you are going to keep it for a while and want to go crazy on the headliner. Seats should match the headliner (not exactly but you get my point) I need to replace my headliner as well.

As for the alternator, it depends on what you plan on running. Lights? Winch? Subwoofer? Portable fridge?

Depending on what you want to run, that will determine what you need. I'm running four hella 500s on my roof and had 2 subs in the back being pushed by a massive amp. I never had my lights dim on my when the bass hit and that was on the stock alternator. Granted I have a spare quest alternator as it is larger replacement for the stock one and it is a bolt off and a bolt on replacement.

Well it probably doesn't seem odd over here but I love my x.
Even with it being 2wd. I also prefer the 2002-04 look.
So I plan on keeping it until there are literally no parts to fix it.
So far I have:
Aux fuse box
Bilsteins
Pml
Timing belt
K&n filter
Etc

I don't want to do anything to crazy but I'm running fog lights and I'd like to run roof lights with a cb.
No need for subs (I'm a guitar player so naturally I like mids 600hz or better
I just want to keep it running good.
Also my battery is on the outs so I was thinking of getting a deka (east penn) intimidator battery.


My question on the headliner was because I would like to black out the interior but not sure what to do about the "oh sh" handles and the tweeter bars because they are (like the headliner unfortunately) tan

Quest Amp should do everything you need.

couple of the people on here have done some headliner designs. those are cake walk. some spray glue and a wire brush and you are good. just make sure you let it dry. you could always wrap your os handles and a pillars. i did it in my ford looked fine and its not hard. seats i would take in consideration if you have pets. black will show everything, trust me just redid mine and i have a white dog...dumb mistake.

If you go black then you are also going to have to change the color of the sun visors as well. When I re did my headliner in my HB i just stayed the same color and it looks good. I also thought about going black but then I didn't want all of the extra work making everything else match

you could do a darker gray like the color of the dash. But I guess if you do a black headliner then you have your answer there for matching.

just buy a quest alternator unless you plan on running a competition sound system and 8 lights on your roof while pulling yourself out of the mud with a winch. Use the money to buy something more important like suspension/tire upgrades.

Can I just take the headliner out and apply new glue to the current cloth?

ya that's basically what you do.... just need to clean a little bit of the old off with a wire brush and apply enough to make it sit on there.

no, it will absorb into the old cloth and not stick, you need to pull the cloth off and scrub the foam off with a wire brush and then spray glue and apply fabric
