So, I know this is primarily an X forum, with heavy doses of other wheelers, but I have a question y'all regarding my Mitsubishi. I ask here because I respect the opinions of those here, and there are a few professional automotive techs who I think should be able to point me in the right direction.
I did a drain and fill on my transmission this past week and afterwards it starting growling when you start from a stand still. I can feel the vibration in the floor and seat, and it only does it in Drive; not Reverse or Neutral. Plug was 'clean' when I drained it (typical black smeg that accumulates); no shavings or teeth like was in Silver Dude's. I'm fairly certain I have the correct amount of fluid in there, but it is hard to read pink fluid on a white stick. The growl happens for a few seconds while accelerating, then it goes away. If I throw the car in Neutral while it does it, the growl stops, but will resume when I put it back in Drive.
I think I know where this is headed, but still appreciate the suggestions.
