Hey there from Florida!! I have a 2011 stock SE and I’m dying to convert it to 4x4. Is there anyone who has done so already? I can’t find any threads. Any help is appreciated.

It's been done....

I really don't want to be a Debbie Downer but it's an 11 year old vehicle. Save yourself the trouble, money, headaches and trade it for a 4x4 if that is what you want.

Welcome from Denver!

You need a front axle, front driveshaft, CV shafts, transfer case, and new transmission tail housing. Might be easier to just get a transmission with transfer case attached.

The next part is wiring. Lots of it. Since the transfer case is electronically controlled, you need to wire to the solenoid that operates the shift mechanism. Doing it outside of the stock wiring might make it easier since you CA. Just apply power directly to the actuator instead of relying on all the sensors.

I suggest going over to niccoclub.com and get the FSM for 2011 and start pouring over the wiring schematics.

Sell your 2wd and get a 4x4. A 2015 Pro-4X can be had for less than $25K these days and all the work is done. With all the money you’ll spend converting one, and the headaches that come with it, you’ll be glad you wrote a check for a newer rig anyway. If you must monkey around with fabricobbling something together, and older Jeep might be a better option to scratch that itch.

OR..... do what I've considered and SAS. Then use an ATLAS-II from RuggedRocks on a 4x4 transmission and not worry about the wiring. Then you've got tons, 40s, wheel travel and a 3 range t-case. But it'll cost about $20k to do that I would imagine.
