Front drive shaft won't mate with front differential - diff drop

Hey guys, so I am reinstalling my front diff after the Lokka and drop bushings, and I got mostly everything mated up, but I have about a 1/2 inch gap between the front drive shaft and the input flange to the differential. This is not nearly as close as it was when I first dropped it down.

The the bushings are in place, so it can't shift towards the drive shaft any more...

Is it due to the drop bushings? Could the drop downwards have thrown off the geometry that much?

From what I remember, the cross member only bolted up one way on the diff housing...but the cross member is sitting perfectly in the frame mounts....

How the FnCk do I bolt the drive shaft up now...anyone else run into this?

OK great to know...I thought that may be the case, but wasn't sure. I didn't want to pull on it too hard and risk breaking something....thanks for the quick response guys!

Great!

Now that the issue is resolved we can make jokes about how you couldn't get your shaft to mate properly........:hihi:

Just had to keep yanking till it extended far enough to make that sweet, sweet contact?
