Front Bumper with Drop Bracket Question

I am in final considerations for a front bumper. One of the questions I had come up with is how will it interface with my Calmini drop bracket. Has anyone figured this out or come up with a custom mounting bracket?

Hey scott I have a Gen2 w Calmini drop bracket and a calmini front bumper. I am not sure exactly what bracket you are referring to, but I can snap some pix of my rig if you want.

The skid plate from the bumper to the bracket? I have that to, just removed it today.

It mounts to the drop bracket if I am correct. I will get you some pix in the morning. There are 4 bolts that attach the skid to the bottom of the bumper. There are two additional bolts that attach the skid to the top of the drop bracket.

Scott,

Here is a picture of the radiator skid plate. This picture shows the side of the plate that faces the radiator. Note the 4 bolt holes at the top and the two bolt holes at the bottom.

The picture below shows how the radiator skid plate attaches to the truck. The bottom of the skid plate fits between the calmini drop bracket and the original factory bracket. The two arrows show how the bolts attach the skid plate to the original factory bracket. These bolts are a little tricky to get at because the Calmini bracket limits access.

Let me know if this clears things up for you or not.

It looks like that is the mounting holes for the front sway bar. So now this makes much sense. You removed the front sway bar. So I might need something custom if I want to the skid plate to mount to the bottom of the drop bracket. Thanks for all your help.

I, eh, "removed" my front swaybar, but not intentionally. ;). The skid plate will fit on, even with the swaybar in place. I think the idea of building a custom skid to attach under the calmini drop bracket is a good idea. Mine takes a lot of abuse. If you go this route and need measurements please reach out.
