So I was reading a post on thenewx.org about the Fog Light/Off Road light mod where you can use all the lights at the same time. Which I would like to do. Well at least be able to use the off roads lights with my fogs on at the same time. The post is pretty good but seems to be geared more towards Xterra's 2010 and under. Since I have 2011 Pro-4x I'd love to maybe attempt this mod this weekend but just wanted to check with you all first for some guidance and direction.

So anyone with a 2011 Pro-4x can you lend me a hand. Even if its following a forum post somewhere. I'd appreciate it. And sorry if this does in fact point me back to thenewx.org post. I've gotten about 3 hours of sleep last night and my brain is fried right now!

Yeah thats the one I read. Guess thats the only one. I didn't read every post since I think there was 8 pages of it. I'll do while I'm eating lunch in a few. Plus I'm kinda waking up now. LoL

Whatever you figure out you ought to do a write up here. I haven't even heard of this, I wouldn't use it much because I don't get the opportunity to use my brights very often but it would be cool to be able to do.

Yeah the post over on TNX seems to be pretty good but there were several different jobs people did. Guess I have to find the best one. I'd use the type of mod alot since I drive some country roads to and from work in the dark (mornings mostly) Lots of deer up this way and would like to not hit one! Seems like it only takes around an hour or so. And ya have to purchase a few parts (relays, wire, etc...)

Well, since the off-road lights have only been available since '09 and they haven't changed anything other than switching the name from Off Road to Pro-4X, anything that applies to a 2010 model will also apply to '11 and '12 models.

I think you are refering to two different mods. And there are two different write ups over there. There is one mod to get your Off road lamps to work any time (brights on or off). Then there is one to get your fog lights to work anytime (brights on or off). You have to do both if you want all your lights on with brights on or off. I was thinking of doing the off road one but I know a few people where looking at getting a plug and play harness for this. But it looks like no one found one. I'm still unsure If I want to do the fog light one.

And now I realize what lights you guys are talking about. For some reason I thought you were talking about having fogs and brights on at the same time.

Yeah I only wanna really be able to use the roof lights without having to put my High beams on. No sense in loosing my fogs in the woods and stuff and even dark country roads at night just to use the roof lights. I think I missed the part where there were two different mods. I have to go back and read.

Alright. If someone stumbles on the link for just the roof light mod please post it. Been searching since my last post and can't find anything.

Yeah I have that page saved. But didn't see anything just for the roof lights only. I was reading your write up and I guess I can use that.
