Fog light recommendations

The lack of accessory lighting on my truck has finally gotten to me. Yes, I still have my roof lights, but I can't (legally) use them while driving, and even if I could they're of no use in fog. I'd like to remedy that.

I'm looking for your recommendations on yellow (not amber) fog-specific lights.

LED or halogen, I'm not picky, but I want them to be yellow and designed for fog/heavy rain/snow. Either complete assemblies or replacement bulbs that I could put into aftermarket bodies, either option is cool with me.

So...whatchu got?

Oh, and moderators - if this can be moved to a more general location where it may be seen by more users, I'm all for it. I'm interested in aftermarket solutions here, so the gen. 1 prefix really doesn't apply and I'm willing to bet there May be a 2nd gen owner or two with some suggestions.

Thank you...

I've got the Hella Optilux yellow bulb in the fog lights of my Volvo and I tend to like them pretty well. But, like I said, it's just the bulb, no housing or anything.

I'm cool with just bulbs, it means I get to buy cool new lights to put them in, haha

Would you say they are bright enough to use alone on a dark foggy night?

Thanks deeb!

To answer your question, I like the way yellow looks more, but more importantly I feel like yellow performs better than amber in in fog.

Still though, if you have a suggestion for an amber light that performs well, I'm all ears.

I believe, if angled right, yes. In the Volvo, my lights are pointed too low. Another option for just a few more bucks would be yellow HID kit. It'd definitely be brighter than those bulbs.

You don't want to blind any oncoming traffic though.

Kyle, does your truck not have the factory fogs? Or are you looking to add to those?

True.

I had them, then removed them. Completely. Switch, relay, wiring. Hindsight...

I'm looking for an aftermarket addition here. I've considered moving those Hellas I bought from you back to the front and putting some yellow bulbs in them.

Why would you remove lighting? That's just silly.

The FF75s are a good choice, but I think those are the driving beam pattern not the fog beam.

The nice thing about them is the size. They can be mounted virtually anywhere. You have an aftermarket bumper, yes?

I was feeling silly.

Yeah, I like the slim profile of them, I liked them when I had them up front before. And I think you're right about the beam pattern.

And nope, factory front with the plastic all cut up so it's about the same size as the factory upper "bumper". I've thought about getting one of the prerunner style bumper mounted light bars from A.C., but for what it is, they're a bit pricey.
