Disconnected Hose ID Help

Im new here I need some help. I had my XTerra fixed for a few things:
a) Steering Box replace (there was leakage before)
b) Radiator replaced (leaking a little bit)
c) AC leakage fix (I was told there was AC leakage but where I don't know and how they fixed it I don't know either.) They mentioned replacing the O Ring.

I brought the ride back home and wanted to check oil levels and found this hose freely dangling around. It is going all the way down. Can someone help me identify it?View attachment DSC_1722.JPGView attachment DSC_1723.JPG

Ah yes.... the infamous front diff breather hose. It just clips to the side of the air box.

Looks like it needs to be attached to something? Or it just lays like this?

Follow it down. It should be attached to the diff housing at the bottom. It is not connected to anything up top. It’s just there to allow the differential to breathe.
