Compustar alarm

Not sure if this is normal. I have a new to me 2012 pro4x with a compustar 2way remote system. All works fine except if you have unlocked the vehicle with the remote, then lock it manually with the door lock button, then unlock with remote again, the alarm goes off. So far the only way to turn off the alarm is with the oem remote. I have reprogrammed the compustar remotes a few time - just in case it was that. I have tried the compustar in both full and half mode.

Sounds like you still actually need to hook up the factory alarm disarm wire.

FACTORY ALARM DISARM RED/WHITE to GRAY (-) NOTE #3

in DRIVERS KICK PANEL, (WHITE, 16-PIN PLUG), PIN 9 or BCM, (WHITE, 40-PIN PLUG), PIN 7, NOTE #2

NOTE #2: the BCM (Body Control Module) is located Behind the GLOVE BOX.

NOTE #3: TEST this wire while Turning the KEY in the Drivers Door. This wire will also DISARM the FACTORY ALARM.
