Clutch...

I can be sitting idle in neutral, engage the clutch to shift into 1st, and as soon as the gear shifter hits resistance, I can feel a bumping in the pedal...I can feel something turning. Yes, this is with the truck COMPLETELY stopped, and the pedal all the way through the firewall.

It will also do this sometimes going from 2 to 3.

Synchronizers? Throwout bearing?

This only happens at random.

Have you checked the fluid level? My guess would be your low and the clutch isn't always full disengaging, what are the outside temps like when it acts up? Brake fluid expands and contracts a good bit so your fluid maybe a bit lower when it's colder causing this to happen
