Well after years of abuse my idler arm bushings are toast... I know the bandit 4x4 bushings are the best replacement but here is the question

I believe my bushing's have probably been shot for a while now should I consider replacing the whole arm? or will the bushings by themselves be fine?

My main concern is could the idler arm now be worn to much to install the bushings?

How much is a new idler arm?

I would think that the Bandit bushings would work great. They are really beefy (compared to they OEM nylon ones) and they are a TIGHT fit.

well Rockauto has some for $60 ish but on bandit4x4 theres a disclamer saying there bushings may not fit, (incase i wanted to use them later) And on courtesy there $140... Ill most likely try the bushings first... Racerxxl suggested I take the arm off and see is the factory bushings have worn through or now see ill try that this weekend

The arms themselves are not a wear item. I've found, in my case that the idler arm center shaft can develop pitting and rust. As a result it was really hard to shove my idler arm up the shaft with the bandit 4x4 bushings installed. Quality product though way supurior to stock. Lube the heck out of them on installation. My grease gun doesn't seem to have enough pressure to push the grease through.
