New-ish here (2015 but never posted). My X and I were on CX going back to early 2009 and I've known a lot of the members here from back in the day on CX when I went by my real name WilliamBelk.

My Xterra has been sitting collecting dust for years and I am currently bringing it back to its former glory. Today I got it running beautifully with a new Red Top and will be getting new shocks and 33" BFG mud terrains installed over the next day or so when I can escape work I must do for my real job.

Hoping to get some before and after pictures posted soon so you guys can see how close she came to just being sold to the highest bidder so I wouldn't have to tow her from Oklahoma to Colorado where I have been since last March.

Honestly I just couldn't let her go after all of the years and fun had running all over the country.

Also if any XN members want to set up some trail rides in the Denver-Boulder-Fort Collins area I'd love to get my X back off road once I know she is up to it.

Cheers,

-Will

This was after brushing a lot of the dust and debris off. Not much to look at and my stock spare tires and wheels aren’t pretty either. Had to knock the wasps nest and dirt dobbers out of the engine compartment and rear wheel well.

She fired right up with a freshly charged battery.

I had two good 33’s on my cragars so I ordered two fresh for the rear and got them mounted.

New Rancho shocks from 4WP.

New drivers side mirror; surprisingly only $11 on Amazon since it’s flat glass.

And while I was at it I finally ordered all of the pucks and bolts for the 2” BL I had been avoiding all of these years. Hoping when I finally get around to the SAS (that I have most of the stuff for) the extra 2” might help clear my 36x12.50’s

The headliner released while sitting in the Oklahoma heat so I will be tearing it out soon. Doubting I will replace it and may just Rhino line the ceiling and rear cargo area.

Shocks and tires in place and riding much nicer now. Found my passenger front shock tab was torn and the old shock had pulled down through it nut and all.

Center link has some play which will screw the alignment so planning to order a beefier one once I get back home to CO.

My Optima battery was dead again today and when I went to charge it I noticed the top had popped off and it was smoking. This is my second poor experience with Optima which is too bad because they used to be my favorite battery. Planning to drop in an Interstate from a local shop tomorrow.

She needs a wash to get a couple years worth of grime and dirt dobbers off but that’s the least of my concerns. Oil change will follow the new battery and topping off any other fluids. Also need to pull the rear seats to put the D44 in the back for the trek home. Second major move the axle has made and I still haven’t found time for my SAS despite having 90% of the parts on hand. Hoping some fellow Nissan enthusiasts might be the Support I need to get it done in Colorado.
