Need Bigger Tires
Hey guys, so I've been looking all over creation. I cant seem to find a do it yourself transmission fluid flush and change with pictures specifically for a 1st gen auto xterra. If anybody could point me into the right direction, that would be excellent. Thank you!!!!

Unless you have a machine to do it at home the best that you can do is a drain and fill, drive a bit, drain and fill, drive a bit, drain and fill.

If you take it to a shop, they will hook it up and flush the entire thing with the new fluid. And they will do it from where the soft lines are rite behind the rad.

Right, that way they are not pressurizing the radiator. If you have transmission problems, change the radiator. It might be to late but.....

How many miles do you have? How does your ATF look? If it's still red you're probably okay to flush but if it's looking dingy, you're best bet is to just drain and refill. You could cause more problems by flushing if the fluid is already gone.

It really does not have a filter, it is more of a screen. Unless you get an in line filter, they are about $30.00 and worth every penny. Gives a bit of piece of mind, and are just to easy to add. I have had one for the last 75k and would not have it any other way. This reminds me that it is time to change it and swap in a new one.
