I have a 2014 Pro-4x with the moving map rockford fosgate unit.

Two days after I bought my xterra, I installed the factory wiring harness for the trailer hitch. When I went to power the truck back up the radio did not work. (To be fair it had been doing some funky stuff also. on the 5 or so hours I had driven it. Locking up, bluetooth not working etc. So I don't think it is anything that I did.) It was the OEM trailer wiring kit, with relays etc, with the tow brake. (although I do not have a brake installed.) I shut the car off, retraced everything, and all was installed correctly. I fired the car back up a while later, and the radio magically had come back on.

Periodically, the radio will just reboot for no apparent reason. Today, I drove over to my mothers house, when I went in the radio was working fine. When I left about 15 minutes later, the radio has shut off and will not reboot. I am in the process of waiting a while with the battery disconnected. Any ideas beyond that? Thanks!

Cheers,

J...

I have a 2014 that has had a few radio quirks too. Less than a week after I got mine I started it and the entire screen had no power for a drive home from work. I started it later and it worked fine. There's been maybe twice when it just restarted while driving for no apparent reason.

Once it didn't work for an entire day. Disconnecting the battery like you said got it working again.

Not sure if there is one already, but wouldn't be surprised if there's a bulletin about the touch screen

Sounds very similar to mine.

They replaced mine with a new one. I have not had a problem since.
