wait....you're doing coils in the rear as well?

No leaving it leafs for now but it is a leaf over and I don't want it the torque of the motor to wrap the axle and bend the leafs. Down the road I may look at going coilovers in the rear

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does an anti-wrap bar do? You sir have a pretty awesome build going on too! Im following this for sure

As the torque from the engine is applied to the axle the resistance of the tires and the weight of the vehicle makes the axle want to twist on the leaf springs. The anti-warp bar (or commonly called ladder bar) provides a solid anchor point to prevent that from happening.

Nailed it, it simply does not allow the axle housing to rotate. This results in less tire hop under heavy throttle on asphalt and rock and no bent leaf springs

Have made some significant progress on this over the past few weeks. Rear suspension is now all back together with everything including the rest of the frame coated in POR-15. Floor is patched back up, seams sealed, painted, and entire passenger compartment covered in Rattletrap. I have also put Rattletrap in the doors and mounted my speakers. The cargo area will get Rattletrap here next week. Dash is mostly back in and have been wiring my audio system and guages. Waiting on a few components like back up camera and iphone interface to finish installing the head unit and then I can finish the dash up. It finally gets a windshield back in it on Tuesday!

This is just too amazing. Its everything I would ever want to do while knowing it will never happen.
But I want it! May have missed it in the previous posts, what tranny did you go with?

Still making headway, carpet and interior are in, audio is installed and wired. Have a lot of the stuff in the engine bay tied up now (like alternator mounts and heater hoses) and will be firing it up again this week. Drivelines and guages will also go in this week and then I will be mounting the intercooler and running piping for it as well as building the exhaust so it can start to be driven and get some bugs worked out! Also received my P&P corners and they are pretty cool and will look great when mounted but there are a few things that bother me. I got them bare to make sure the powdercoat matched my bumpers and sliders but now I'm glad I did so I can change a few things. Mainly I wish they were built from something a little thicker, at least 10 guage. So to rectify this I will be boxing the ends to add a little more strength. Also there are a couple pieces that were welded on that should have been part of one of the pieces and bent in instead of welded (namely the top edge that was welded on to fill a gap instead of being planned in). One of the things that really bugs me is they start to slope before the tailight ends so this leaves a gap between the bottom edge of the tailight and the corner. Also the cupholders are kind of cheesy, while they will definitley not allow mud or water to build up in them they are a piece of steel that is rolled to shape and does not meet at the end with a piece of flat bar welded across the bottom. I think a piece of pipe cut at an angle to fit the corner on one end with a cap on the other end with a dimple die hole in the middle would have looked better and performed just as well. All in all they will work and are better than the plastic piles of crap Nissan provided. The big plus of the corners is the step on a 1st Gen! More pics to come

Eeeee! So excited!

You and me both man, I spent the day wiring up the alternator and dual electric fans with controller, got my injection pump powered up and starter relay wire ran as well as hooked up throttle cables. Tomorrow it will be build the exhaust downpipe, bleed injectors and BOOM! she'll be running again. Then it's mostly just intercooler, finishing exhaust and tying up little things so that its driveable.
