Posting this for Johann, and whomever else may appreciate it.

This is my buddy Gary's Rat Rod. Gary is a very good friend of mine from high school. He is a master fabricator and the best welder that I know of. He currently does 'micro' welding under a microscope, sometime using 5 micron rods and 2.5 amps! He gets paid a lot for that. A lot of injection mold repair business he does. Here's his current project:

He's doing a lot of trick stuff like running the water lines through the freeze plug holes. The air suspension is all hidden and he uses a cantilever to engage it. In fact all the wiring and hoses will be hidden. When parked it sits directly on the frame. The alternator runs directly off crankshaft. Its a fuel injected 1100 HP motor. I told him he's going to torque that poor truck into pieces! Anyway Gary always has done really wild builds. He built one of the first 4X4 Mini trucks back in 1975. He had a '41 military ambulance and built a shortened VW Van that had a Mazda rotary engine that used to pull awesome wheelies. It will be a really cool truck so look for it in the mags it will surely be in. I'll post more picts as it progresses, but for now, Enjoy!

That hidden airbag/torsion bar hybrid suspension and cantilever steering set up are freaking brilliant. I absolutely love that kind of detail. That thing is sick!

That's Scooby Doo Man....I LOVE the 1936 Ford Pickup and would love a rat rod version, just more classic -ie frame above tarmac lol

paint the undercarriage white and add some accessories and do it 60's hot rod style

I sooooo want one!
