I just bought a 2015 Xterra Pro4x. I also own a 2019 Jeep Wrangler and a 2016 Porsche Cayenne. I would like to purchase a decent code reader that may work with all 3- vehicles. My budget is $250. I am a newbie and would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

Yep, I spoke with them today. they do not like POR15 and believe it dries, cracks and retains water. They strongly recommend the oil based coating.

I live in Pittsburgh. I am flying to NC tomorrow to bring the Xterra back, (subject to a PPI on Friday). it appears fairly clean underneath. I want to preserve that, if possible. I also want to modify it, but nothing too crazy since it will also be my daily driver.

After a PPI on the 2002, I decided on the 2015 P4X.

Wow...I have not seen ANY in good condition going for anything close to those numbers. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places, lol!

Also I should say both are priced at top of market...2002 is mid 20's and 2015 is in high teens

Sadly I cant drive either...since they are both fly & drive purchases. And I agree, the 2002's mileage means it sat unused for long periods of time. So I am worried about gaskets, seals, etc.
