My GF has panels on her roof and it will take 5-7 years for them to pay for themselves. In the mean time she is paying for them.

Also don't forget " When it's time for a new roof/shingle's YOU have to pay someone to disassemble the panel's and then reassemble once your roofing contractor is done "
