On a side note, I am uber jealous of your tall and trail-developed mountains. Most of our mountains do not have trails like this or access to them on 4 wheels for that matter. Keep up the amazing photographic work! I love seeing what you come up with next. Oh, and your X is pretty, too.

I think that most of our high mountain trails originated in the 1800's with the mining folks. The narrow shelf roads would attribute to that.
