This run's attendance was:

MB-XTERRA06
Xebra67
Colorado719 + Jeep buddy
SlasaE
Xorro
Eric P

The Truggy was a POS, and neither of them had any off-road gear! They were stupid dirt-heads that were in a hurry to pass us on the way down. You can see them in a couple photos...real winners! They went down the rock in front of me with EricP's generous guidance and sped off to the end-of-trail. We met back up with them there where we told them to go ahead since they were in a hurry. Off they went...only to meet back up with them at Longwater Rock. We watched retard with the truggy try and get back up the rock for 30 minutes. He broke steering linkage, possibly an axle? I should have shot video of this retard...it was bad. Finally the only female in our group got sick of waiting and told them to GTF off the rock so we could pass. 10 minutes later the Xterra group was up the obstacle (a small delay for our Jeep friend) and MBXTERRA graciously extended a winch line to the Truggy. I was ok with just leaving them there to sort out their stupidity, but I'm an ********! Who knows if they made it up the rest of the steep inclines on that trail?

Beautiful photo's. Many of you guys have some pretty trails to ride on. I wish there were places like this in Ga. There may be but I doubt there are. Great looking X you have there Xebra67.

Thank you KB! CO certainly has some neat stuff to traverse! I've been on scene for two years and I haven't even scratched the surface of what's out there.

I like your description of the Truggy and it's crew. I wonder what their conversation was like on the way home after that experience? ;):)

Hahaha, colorful description of the truggy crew. We have plenty of bone-heads like that out here in Idaho. I probably would have done as you would have and told them to GTFO and, of course, given them some off-roading advice on the way out. :)

Great page, Gregg! Glad to see familiar faces over here on XN. I "borrowed" your pic of me three wheeling at Longwater for my avatar photo.

It really is. My wife and I went for the first time last year and completely fell in love with it. We are going back in August and I'm going for a trade show in September. We are going to move to the central CO area when she finishes her paramedic degree. I just can't get enough of it.

I can't even describe the Mt. Antero trail system...beyond amazing! I've only been wheeling for a couple years, but this trail is now my favorite! No words...just a mind blowing experience. Visit!

Gregg, next time we do Mt. Antero, let's make it priority #1 to not only drive to the end of the trail, but to also hike the rest of the way to the top & get some pictures from there. How's August 3rd look on your Schedule?

Wait a week. I'll be driving down from SD to Denver on the 7th-11th of August.

/in a rental car
//doesn't mean I can't wheel it

I need to get up there, too. It is only 2 hours away and I drive past 3-4 times a year on other adventures.

Let's do it!! Summit pics will be sweet, and the 3rd or the 10th are both fine with me!

The 10th works just as well for me. I'll post a trail run thread tomorrow so we don't hijack yours anymore. Do we want to post it on tnx too or invite only certain people from there by pm only?

Holy 2k!!!

...I know. Lift the X a bit more or buy a camera lens? I chose (for now) the longer-term investment. I don't know **** about working on trucks and I don't know anyone around here who can do the work so I opted for the item I do know.

I had a hard time pushing the "buy" button, but if I don't like it I'll send it back. I'm thinking about getting into the real estate/architectural photo market because the folks around here suck. I need this lens (and 3 more speedlights + stands, and at least one more PocketWizard III) to make lines look straight while shooting at wide angles. It will also make mini Xterras in panoramas!
