I do 1 and 3 both are "car" movies - 2 in a pinch because they at least had the good sense to add a Yenco. The rest are action movies with cars decent action movies but meh.....

I stopped after the first one. "Car movie" is straining it. It's a movie full of bad info about cars with mediocre acting.
No thanks.
I might actually like the later ones where they gave up trying to be a car movie, but I'm not willing to give the franchise another hour of my life to find out.

Bad info and such yes but it was cars and car culture to a degree so "Car movie" not American Graffiti or Hollywood Knights not 2 Lane Black Top or Vanishing Point but enjoyable if you don't pay attention to the details to much

I used to be able to just watch shiat and enjoy it but after an episode of stranger things where they had 2 different late 70's Camaros and it caught my eye because in one scene the car had crank windows on the door and the next it had electric windows (which were in the center console on those years) it now gets under my skin when I catch those errors.

I totally get this being a mechanic and lets face it you'd think Hollywood would hire someone to keep on this kind of stuff but from the "10 second" Supra racing neck and neck with the "9 second" Charger (a full second faster isn't anywhere near a neck and neck race. ) to all the medical crap that drives my wife who is a nurse nuts they just go ahh they won't notice. I just have to tune it out.

The fourth one was the first foray into making them heist movies. And it's pretty good. But they perfected the formula in 5.
Its worth the effort to at least do 4,5,&6 and treat them as a standalone trilogy.
