skinny tires=less trimming, better turning, less rolling resistance, and when you air down they stretch out further, they may not be your thing looks wise but I honestly I prefer that to bulging tires sticking out an 1" past the fenders

not that it matters, my x is getting 265/75R16's
I run the wildpeak 255/85/16 MT01's . My ONLY complaint is there getting louder . I have 40k+ mile's on them ,the water channel's have wore off but the lug's are still big and meaty !!

Ooooo winch bumper is here for the pathy. Too bad its so freaking cold outside right now.
Speaking of winch, can I go straight to the battery with the winch wiring where this thing has the power sense on the ground wire to the body?

I did mine straight to the battery. I have a power cut off switch, just never got around to putting it in. Never had any power drain or other problems in the last 4yrs and it works like a champ still..

So I take my truck to 4wp in town to get an alignment. I figure they'll know how to adjust the camber bolts, etc.

Guy comes out after about 10min and says the tie rods are so bad that he won't align it, that it wouldn't hold. Quoted me 1350$ to do it up, right then. I told him I'd wait..20240117_160043.jpg

So. Tie rods are easy. Especially if you're doing both the inners and outers. Figure $100 in parts for Hitachi (OE) rods. Pull the old ones as one unit, size the new ones to the same length install. Ball joints can be hard because you may just have to do new LCAs. But you can get rock auto ones for cheap. OE camber bolts, if you have to cut the ones you have are $100. Then it just needs an alignment.

The season 2 opener of 19-2 is really ufcking hard. It deals with a school shooting. And the way it's filmed is so ufcking real. It's brilliant television. But a really hard watch. I forgot how hard. Now I remember.
