Well, it's been a while. I've done close to zero mods, but have done a lot of prep and some wheeling. Last update was driveshafts, well that single u joint, didn't work very well, I broke it, then I made another double cardan driveshaft, that one worked well, lasted 3 hours, since I was only an hour away I went home and rebuilt it again and then it worked well, it may be broke again, I haven't wheeled in 4 wheel drive since.
Lets start out with bajaing. Only picture of the wheeling trip, after I got home.
This was a spur of the moment I'm already 3 hours from home, let's go wheel a little.
Now let's get to the fun!
Single u joint driveshaft didn't work.
I also rub a lot still... and this is straight, when I turned I trashed everything, I'll be cutting a lot from the body next. I like where the front axle is.
Starting doubler templates,
This one still needs to be made.
Then I dressed up the tx10 plate.
2 pieces of 3/8" Steel should work out as a cover, if I didn't have a milled case I could go with one, but I would also be having shifter problems.
Then I set it up onto my divorced case to see how it would sit with the shifter, it's not good.
Here's the problem, I think I should be able to make it work though, I have a certain determination to make things work, I should have 1/8" clearance between plates and shifter after I've extended the adapter 1.25" with a piece of DOM.
And a little update of the jeep buggy.
Rear suspension is done minus top mounts for the upper links.
