I am indeed. Actually searching all of the adjacent cities almost hourly LOL... It's a sickness! There are several good priced automatics on the knoxville Craigslist if I wanted an auto I would have quite a choice LOL. Gotta be stubborn I guess.... Hopefully I will find something by the end of the weekend. I really need to get a car here driving my wife back and forth is getting to be old already. Not that I don't love being with my wife hehe

I lucked into mine. I wanted a black Gen 1.5 and it just happened to be a 5 speed with all the bells and whistles. I've only seen/heard of 1 other SE that has the 4.9 and the 5 speed, and I don't think Prime is willing to come off his anytime soon lol

What the hell is that exactly? I took the fam out for dinner this evening and dropped by the local auto dealer and wanted to at least drive the five speed 4x4 they had there. Unfortunately they said it had some sort of starter issue so they sent it out for repair. I was kinda let down but oh well. Still looking for the right truck here. Might take awhile LOL

meh it sounds nice but honestly I want to make the engine simpler not more complex. Coming from a background of suzuki Samurai's with a grand 70 hp I am also not one to have to swap motors or look for an excess of HP. As long as I can gear for reasonable highway speeds and have a good low crawl I am more than happy. Been watching youtube videos of the SAS Xterras and that is some pretty impressive stuff. I am getting excited about this more and more but if I can't find one for a good deal soon I may just revert back to my old loves and grab the first Samurai that comes along LOL...

yeah I know but I am a dyed in the wool four wheeler so 2wd won't work for me unless it is a rock buggy or something LOL. I even saw where some guys were buying 2wd models and converting to 4wd and SAS all at the same time. I am gonna try to find what I am looking for and if I can't for the money I want to spend I will have to get something else I guess. Really like the Xterras tho.

I would love to but my wife needs her truck to get back and forth from work and I have no vehicle to go get it with. Just texted him apparently it only has 150K on it.
Jeez that looks like a good deal.

Not a good or bad thing. Personal preference, really. Probably did it for the additional room as running 33s or better requires a fair amount of cutting. If you don't want to cut, get the fenders.

Looking at the possibility of renting a car and driving up there. He is making me a video of the truck in the morning so I can see better what he has there. Wonder what it could cost me to get a new tranny for it? He said he drives it daily just can't use first gear?

So figure worst case scenario, entire rebuild on the transmission is going to run 2k ballpark. Factor that into your bidding. Remember, he posted it on Craigslist. At 3500, is start about a grand low and let him push it back up.
