Take pix!!! Or, you know...
My apologies to everyone, my attempt to attend Sat's M&G in Knoxville turned into a comedy of errors which ended in an Epic Fail.
Fist I must have jinxed myself when I mentioned the sinkhole on I-75...thought they would have finished the repairs by now. Had I known they hadn’t I would have adjusted my route and departure time accordingly. Unfortunately the repairs were still very much underway and I-75 south was still closed at Jellico.
However detour did take us along a very scenic winding mountain two lane road. While I'm a fully trained mountain back roads driver I cannot say the same for the hordes of I-75 drivers that were forced to traverse 25W from Jellico allllll the way down to Caryville. UGH!
By the time I finished with my jaunt through the hills of east Tenn I was already late. Not one to be deterred I continued onward in hopes of catching the crew before too much time had passed. As I neared, what I thought was my destination, misfortune was again my guide, or in this case piss poor planning, as I forgot to bring my directions.
Guess I need to move into the 21[SUP]st[/SUP] Cent and spring for a GPS or at least a smart phone so I can connect to the internet. Yeah my cell phone is so old it has a rotary dial...
Really hate I missed you guys this time around. Hopefully my next attempt will end in success.

I thought I read something about a small get together. Lol.
I'm still debating it...... Don't want to get out there and get stuck and look like a dumb@&$. But I want to meet too.

Same thing happened with me getting down to Coal Creek Friday night. It was fun with all the 75 traffic packing onto to 25W that's for sure. Took forrrreeeeever
They just said on the news today they were going to open up at least one lane this afternoon. A couple days late lol
I planned on going to CC Saturday, but I realized I double booked. Since I agreed to the M&G first I decided to eat BBQ
