After doing some digging the guy's name is:
[h=1]Kyle Updegrove[/h]

President at Tactical Armor Group, Inc.

Now at this point I still have faith in the man that he will come through. He's got two days and then I will have no choice but to dispute the charge on my card and file a court claim against him and his company. Man life's a b$$ch

The Bank is saying that I should dispute the charge and then file in small clams court. What is a charge back and how do I do that?

Anyway, over the weekend I made head way on my homemade light bar. I'm going to mount 5 of the 4", 27 watt LEDs on it! should be pretty cool. The back up light was super simple and works great.20160515_164112_resized.jpg20160515_164122_resized.jpg20160515_172644_resized.jpg

Now I need to get busy on those skid plates!

Even if he sends you the product, you don't really want it. He does crap work, I have set my hands on enough bad work of his that I would not run his stuff even if it was free.

What granitex says. don't even bother with the bumper. Just get your money back and order a RLC or Shrockworks.

In your letter you claimed you'd be filing a claim for $2000 for an $830 bumper. Were it me I'd have filed that straight in the circular inbox.

Also, + $100 for collections is mentioned in your BBB report. That's a joke as well.

I know the guy is a douche but you're making outstanding claims here...

BTW the BBB has no power to *do* anything about your claim. They simply file it and keep it public so the next person doesn't get duped.

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They'll handle it from there.

That's what I'm doing, I get the BBB has no teeth but it's always good to file with them. Just for the reason you stated.

Well, let me give you an update. I had to choose between small claims court or the bank refunding my money. As much as I would like to see him in court I just want my money back and so I decided to get the refund from my bank. What a pain in the a@@. I think the credit card company's and the banks do a poor job of this kinda stuff. You get nothing for the time you have wasted and lets face it that's all we really have.

Now I have my money back its time to move forward. I've finished the light bar other than the wiring. You might wonder why the lights are down and not up? Its because I haul a canoe on my rack atleast three to four times a year. The lights can be flipped up with the loosing of 2 bolts, nice!

The front skide plate is also installed which was as easy as it looks. I like that this alum. has holes in it to let the mud and water drain better. I'm pretty sure it will get dinged up but feel it will be strong enough. 20160518_184156_resized.jpg20160518_184254_resized.jpg20160518_185619_resized.jpg20160528_170845_resized.jpg

Those lights look good up there! I'm usually not a fan of little lights like that up top, but that looks good.
I was kinda surprised also, The price was just to right not to try them. I really like the bar clamps, there really slick, easy to install and move.

So, I guess I'm in the market for a rear tire carrier, I've seen the Shrockworks tire carrier and like it. I don't see where RLC has a rear tire carrier listed on their web page, do I need to call them or ?. Calmini also has one, who else should I look at or is that it?

RLC has done a couple of rears, but probably not enough to really advertise. I have no idea if he's done carriers though. It's worth a call to see what he can do.

You'll have to call RLC about the rear bumper. He has done 4 that I know of so he should have the templates for it. Always call James. He doesn't respond to email.

I called him, he is going to try to fine some pictures of his design. Does anyone on this forum have one of these?

Caseycamby & Jack Stilts are the two that come to mind. There are some others but I can't remember off the top of my head.

I moved the Hi-Lift to my front bumper. I like it better there anyway. I plan on putting a shovel or axe back there. And the handle still works fine. It's just up against my rear hatch. He did a different design on Jack Stilts' bumper. Check it out. As for the tire, that doesn't really bother me. With 35s, I didn't plan on seeing anything out the back anyway haha

Casey you have no idea or wait you do. You've been thru it. My X is like a picture on the wall in the car port, I'm not getting any wheeling in. But I now have tires:kewl:

Also, James is hooking me up on a rear bumper. I explained the issues you had and he is correcting them. 20160607_170930.jpg

How about a little light bar action! I finished this up over the weekend. The switch is connected into the dash dimmers. The picture of the LED light bar only lights up when the lights are on. 20160611_214036.jpg The verbiage is on if the interior dash lights are on.20160611_213912.jpg20160611_192932.jpg This last picture is with the back up light wired in20160611_214607.jpg

My rims have shipped! that's great they should be here on Thursday. I guess I better figure out what color to paint them. I have narrowed it down to satin black, satin army green or gun metal gray. I think its going to be gun metal gray.

We the rims and tires are painted and mounted, I think it looks pretty bad a@@! Check it out, The wheels are 15x10 with 5" back spacing but because of the brake caliper and that the rims are a straight faced I had to us a 1/4" spacer, effectively giving me 4 3/4" back spacing.20160625_181451_resized.jpg20160625_181614_resized.jpg20160625_181630_resized.jpg

Those rims are sick. Very unique

Thanks Thompson the wheels are a custom built Stockton wheel. It took them right at 6 weeks to complete and their welding and craftsmanship was spot on. I figured if I was going to build this thing I might as well do it up the way I want it. I took the X over to the badlands this weekend and man was it a good time. I got hung up on a pretty good sized log but the winch took care of that issue. It was the first time I used the winch and it worked prefect.

Anyway here's a couple of pictures of the weekend. 20160709_124832_1468237379296_resized.jpg20160709_130458_1468237386572_resized.jpg20160709_152615_1468237384374_resized.jpg20160709_153851_1468237381871_resized.jpg

And my RLC rear tire carrier is shipping today! what! what! O and check out those white knuckle sliders, that's what I'm talking about.

After going wheeling last weekend I decided to install some walk rite rubber adhesive strips on top of the sliders. My wife felt they were to slick when they got muddy. It actually looks pretty good. I was surprised20160713_184108_resized.jpg.
