indeed... I've done a lot of looking and while a hydrashok may not blow through someone when I hit them, if I don't, it's guaranteed to go through a couple of walls before it stops, and that, might be in my baby, which, means that's simply not happening.
a 62gr or 69gr 5.56mm round however, we've done some drywall testing and at the thickness of the wall, with equivalent insulation to what's in my interior walls, if it blows into one wall, it'll go through, and 5 out of 10 shots lodged in the next piece of drywall, 4 of the remaining 5 lodged in the skin of the next sheet, and the last one fell flat just beyond the other sheet. 0 out of 10 rounds were dangerous through 2 walls, which means, as long as it isn't shooting down the hall toward the door, kiddo is safe, no matter what.
(that being said, if it makes it to being a hallway issue, there's little to no chance that the intruder would survive that mistake, and there won't be a single gunshot)
