Since you seem to be about quality, could you enlighten me on your headlights? My 2001 Xterra headlights suck and I don't remember reading about a headlight conversion in this thread.
Nice work!

Lowered it a bit... added some 20's...

Running boards are gone next.

But.... The wheels..... They're ugly..... Heh

Your the first person to say that... they were not my first choice by any sort of the call.

Most manufactures say they make 20's that have the crazy 6x4.5 bolt pattern with the backspace (6.13 bs) to tuck in the wheel wells.

But when you go to order they laugh....

These were my first choice.. made in Italy. The cost was twice as much as the wheels on the rig now... and no.. back order indefinitely.

See.... I like those.

The majority black wheel w/ chrome accents just looks off when compared to the large silver truck.

It would look better with just silver or just black.

Checked on powdercoating a couple weeks ago. 120 a wheel stripped down to bare metal then coated. This winter they may be taken in for a coat of gun metal grey. However thinking these black wheel is soften up with a little road grime. The running boards throw it off too... would look cleaner without.

Most of our rigs are silver with black wheels... The Xterra on this thread, My wife's new Juke, and this Pathy. It may not have my first choice in wheel design, but it still looks a ton better than it did. This rig will be getting some crazy stuff done to it down the road. Just a different direction then most would think from a axle swapping kinda guy.

Stock X beside mine...

Measuring... mine is 4 inches taller.

3 inches of that height is from the tires....

Then in the background is the 87 Pathy on 38's (engine is out so the front is up a little)... hiding behind a stock R51 Pathy.

Besides all your perfect finishes on your metal work. This picture speaks volumes towards your knowledge on these vehicles. That is insane how low that first gen sits with a SAS.

Looks good as allways.

A question on you steering for the xterra. I think that you said it was a steering box from a 93 cruiser. Did the stock xterra hydralic lines work or did you have to change them.

Still a little curious about this one.

How did you splice the lines. My local hydraulic shops don't have anything that will splice the high pressure line.

1. Duct tape
2. Gypsy tears
3. Casper's limoncello, left out in the sun for a week and reduced to a paste
4. Mix 2 and 3, apply liberally, let dry for 3.45 seconds and then wrap with 1.

Making room for the 35's... rear wheel well lift. More when It is complete.

Rear axle is one inch back for more space.

Front wells are going to get some love too...

It looks taller... however same old height it has been.

There is a thick fitting on both lines... welded them together at that point. Has worked well on many rigs.

Headlights are from ebay... cheaper than replacing with oem.

I cut off the old lip.. and left enough material to wrap around this 5/16 rod. So that rod is formed and under the new lip.. tack welded.. then body adhesived in.

Got a little body work left to do.. but the initial results are not bad.

The 35's also have some room to breath...
