my newest one.... Zoey
she's almost 2 years old, german bloodlined german shepherd, weighs 75lbs now and is certainly still growing.
very well behaved and sweet and lovable pup.

loves to ride in the X, even curled in a ball in the passenger seat (wife's NOT happy with that, and I have a hunch I'll be making sure she doesn't do it very often cause of the german shepherd fur EVERYWHERE)

I like to take my sisters dog Mocha out for a rop in the woods. One day I'll have a dog of my own. Which will be a more..... masculine breed. But, its enjoyable to put dirt on her paws.

This time last year I lost my 8 year old golden retriever to kidney failure. We got a chocolate lab puppy a month later and she just turned 1 this past week or so. Now she has to find a different home. This has been rough, especially sense my cats will go at anytime considering they are 17 human years old. No idea if well get a new dog. I sure hope so because I'm the biggest animal person in my family. :(

What's up with getting rid of the chocolate?

I lost my co-pilot Sabo to a brain tumor along with seizures about a month ago. Very tough week that was. He was 12.

Not sure when I'll get another co-pilot as for my other dog Jersey, she's not much of a rider.

Well my lab ended up going to a family in town but I haven't seen her since she left. My parents put my 18 year old cat down a week or two ago without letting me know. That leaves my cat (of the 3 we had). She went blind a few months ago, come to find out she has a scattered brain mass, they don't know how much longer she can live with it. So in less than 3 years I had my first dog ever die, 2 cats die, a 1yr/old puppy given away, and my cats about to pass. Its been rough, real rough since I'm young and these pets have been there my whole life.

Anyway me and the GF plan on getting a corgi this time next year so, enough with the sadness lets see some co-pilots.

This is Tanner. He is 7 months old and isn't a very good copilot (or maybe I'm not a good pilot..I'm not sure) but is an amazing dog. As with you Aaron I have had a rough time with animals. Christmas 2010 I had to have my 14 year old golden retriever put to sleep. I knew her time was coming so I got a black lab. 2 months after I had Maddy put down the boys bus ran over my lab and killed her. 2 days later I had a new 11 wk old lab. This past july my furry buddy died at 1 1/2 years old from an unknown cause. Nothing worse then watching your dog die and nothing you can do. I swore id never get another dog but everyone thought I needed one so here he is. He is everything I would want in a furry friend except he can't handle riding in the truck. I'm a traveler so I'm going to have to check into some traveling meds for him. So yes..I lost 3 dogs in 2 years.

Thats rough cause I get closer to dogs than I do cats.

Nice dog though!

Goldens are the most amazing dogs! We had one for 8 years before her kidneys shut down, I plan on getting another someday!

I'm a dog person for sure, I know it sounds like a lot but in my lifetime I'd like to have a good bit of land with a blue tick hound, golden retriever, shetland collie, and a corgi.

I think the corgi is coming first because its the only apartment appropriate dog lol

I am all for dogs as well..poor tanner will never be allowed to do anything after all I have been through. He is allowed to be tied out during the day when I'm home but stays inside in a kennel when I'm gone. I even pay someone to come and watch him when I travel. He is so spoiled. I wish he could travel like the others. Maybe some day.
I didn't mention there that my cat fell through the ice on my neighbors pond last winter. She came up missing and they found her. :(

You guys are a bit depressing. I'm gonna hug my cats when I get home.

My family is probably going to venture into dog territory again with a pair of miniature Australian shepherds this next summer. I found a local lady who breeds her two that are full bred but she doesn't have them papered so she only charges $50 a puppy so I like that!

My partner in crime, Chunk, hes been with me since I was 14 and its been a long 10 years. his whiskers are turning grey now but he still acts like a pup and I hope to have another 5 with him atleast.

Even after the SAS and 37s he still jumps into the drivers seat like its his truck lol.
