@metz, I got the heim from PRG I went through them because I had a credit because the wife bought me a diff cover for Christmas and I ended up not needing it. I offer them from dirt king now. I need to update the site but I would suggest them Metz, they are extremely stout!... As for the valance I ran wire from the roof under the front plastic rack piece down the weatherstripping and then through firewall..

Glare isn't bad at all.. I think mostly because it sits back a little in the valance and the hood is flat black!... I wouldn't mount it up there with gloss hood.. I had that on my first gen and he glare was crazy!

Yeah that crack is right on a weld look at the other side and ahead of it is the major part of the crumple zone. If the total it, I would buy it back get it fixed.

Question: Why would they total it? It just looks like the front of the frame horn got bent and sheared a bit. Cut that sucker off and throw on a steep skid. Better approach angle ;) And then rebuild that body mount that got crushed. This would be just one more step closer to the "Xtrophy Truck."

I may be missing something though as to why it would be totaled. Good luck with it.

Since the truck is worth 10 kbb, I think that the frame repair as well as all the other front end stuff might get close to that magic #... The whole front radiator support all the way across the front end is bent up, also the RF body section behind the fender is pinched a bit... I am going to be swinging by the shop to grab the last of my personal item and touch base with the body shop to get a better idea of what I can looking at.

if they total it you can still take it, just have to pay salvage value. I agree with Capn Morgan - you can cut off those frame horns and end up with a way better approach angle. it's all going to work out. Just don't blindly take the word of whatever insurance douchebag you deal with. if something doesnt sound right, you call me before you do anything.

Ah ok, thanks for the explanation. You tell better than what the pics say. That really sucks. Wish you the best of luck with it man! I'm sure everyone else feels the same.

Updates! So the X has been sitting in the driveway. The Frontier has been getting tons of love but the X has been sitting patiently waiting for my not s gentle touch. The first thing she got was a good of fashioned frame straightening.

After I got her back home from the frame shop I have been wondering what direction I want to go with her. I will not be throwing a straight axle on it. I have been talking to a couple shops about long travels. Possibly run a dirt king kit.
Either way I needed to chop of a bit of dead metal the was still hanging on the front. Today I pulled all the wiring ad chopped the mangled RF inner fender off. I was thinking I would buy a used body panel and just weld it up but after chopping it.... It just looks to rad. I may have to buy a nicer welder and tube bender to make some tube fenders....looks like my Christmas list just got way more pricey!

Well guys. Things have been going pretty well lately and I have been able to free up some more funds for my garage love.

A little griffin full aluminum radiator.

some short tube headers installed.

Working on some connections for the new suspension. I'll try and update when I know more.
I also have a new inner fender structure to weld in on the right side so I can get my radiator and front body mounts back in and start plugging her all back together.

Got some more work done last weekend.
Replaced the RF inner fender structure and replaced the cumple zones with some beef!! Just waiting on some odds and ends to get the new radiator and stuff back in the truck.
