Just think of it as a female virgin have sex for the first time. There might be some blood. They normally don't want to but get talked into it by a "professional" and drugs help a lot!

Maybe Rosie and her five friends might help loosen it up some for it to pass?

My awesome wife fixes me up in that department all the time, so I don't have to worry about any of that, lol. Getting freaky with her in the hot tub last night, seem to help a lot as well.

....bet she'll be angry if she's the recipient of a kidney stone ;)

The fact that is a physical/medical impossibility aside, perhaps we have traveled far enough down this road...?

But yeah, there's the equivalent of a gate valve in there that prevents discharge of one fluid while another one is in the tunnel, as it were.

.....aaaaaannnnnnd.....Xterras!

If the torpedo were already in the tube...

The "fluid separation valve" only stops what's behind it :p

Once its past the gate valve, it's gone. We're talking a matter of a second or less, and aint nobody who's ever had one is going to stop it on its way out.

Let's put it this way, puerile banter aside, they come out with urine, period. Unless removed surgically.

Hm...what I'd heard was that they were sometime slow moving......

Interesting...hope to not have to find out first hand...(or other parts)

Update: Well the spiky little bastard finally showed his ugly face yesterday, lol. 3 weeks of crazy pain later.

NMTerras is actually correct. Once it hits the bladder it's fairly smooth sailing. Mine was stuck up much higher in the system.

Btw, when I said "we had it covered", I didn't mean it literally, lol. I meant, I had done a bunch of research ahead of time and even talked to the doc about sex, and he said no worries. I really do think the hot tub fun helped a lot though, and a few 20 mile BMX bike rides did as well. As long as I was moving, it wasn't too bad, I just couldn't sit or lay down at all, lol.

Yep, all seems to be better.

Now if the darn electrical storm would stop, I might actually be able to get some work done. I'm crazy behind in emails and artwork, since I couldn't sit or stand in one place for the last 3 weeks.

I must have looked like a speed freak, because I constantly was pacing back and forth everywhere I went, lol.

Glad you got it out, brotha.

My dad told me when I got mine (the pain and the explanation from the Doc.) that it's a smooth deposit and I'll have slight discomfort....

Yeah, not what I had for a month and the stone was more like jagged crystal... Pains me to think of it.

Dang, just saw your thread!

OW!

I can sympathize, as I seem to make stones as yet another hobby....so my first stones seemed to show up ~ 40 or so, and, most passed, the largest range was ~ 6 mm, and, yeah, spiky.

I see blood first, that's the warning shot that things are going to get ugly.

So, about once a year or so, I have to get rid of the stones....~ 3x I needed surgery to get one's that jammed (Over ~ 6-7 mm seems to be the point of issue) and would not go farther on their own.

I also get EAR stones, and GALL stones...so the ear ones make me dizzy as they roll around triggering those sensor hairs in the equilibrium chamber, etc. The gall stones eventually clogged the bile duct, which got infected, so they had to remove the gall bladder and part of my liver and a bunch of interstitial tissue, etc.

So, I was passing BOTH gall and kidney stones, regularly...which is a bit like being held at Gauntanamo and never when you'll be dragged out to torture some more, etc.

:D

So, I feel your pain Bro.
