Need Bigger Tires
- Location
- Alamogordo, NM
I'm still planning on being there. May bring up some toys I need to install as well.
I also have some oddball things I'd like to offload/sell, so if anyone is interested let me know and I could bring them with me:
Kegerator with EVERYTHING
110 (1), 115 (1) & 75 (2) lb dumbells
Door mount pull-up bar
Used Wilson 5' CB antenna
2 giant floor speakers (Nady PS-115)
Full set of first gen, 4 spoke wheels with 60-70% tread mud tires
If nobody wants them, no worries.
I was going to install a snorkel at the meet up, something about documented evidence of awakening the Xterra's full, unbridled potential? Not sure if it's true, but I was told that any questions should be directed to you
So here's my issue - I have what might be a significant oil leak. I won't know for sure until I pull my skid plates. It's not something I want to do at the meet and greet, because when you dump a bunch of oil, etiquette requires you do it on your own damn property...as part of dropping the plates, I'm going to swap out my stock muffler with a flowmaster 44 I took off of Terra. If my welder tells me that needs to happen Saturday, then that's what's going to happen. I'll keep you posted.
I'll take the pullup bar. NMTerras, you still coming?
tell me more about this kegerator...
You got it Rok. You did see there is a slight blemish on the passenger side one, right? I just want to make sure you know. Do you need the screws? If so, I can scrounge some up.
OK well, I guess we don't need to have the meet and greet...I was gassing up today and ran into a sweet expedition-style X, and then some guy comes rolling up from the other pump, and it was Cruecible...small ass world!
Kidding about not having it...see you guys Saturday!
I'll be there. :kewl:
One thing though... it's against my religious beliefs to be awake before 9:30 on my days off. The only exceptions are Christmas Day, the weekend of the Master's Tournament and the week of goneMOAB. How 'bout 10:30 or 11? That will give us a little time in the morning to get things ready (ie. lunch snacks).
Also, I will running Cedro in 2WD (with air locker) if we go that day. I'm waiting 'till after the get together to start the front axle rebuild.
See y'all there.

rok will text or PM you his addy. Convoy might be a good idea, although Crue, I will tell you that gas station is nowhere near where I live - that was near my office. I live on the far north side of town. Cap'n, are you coming up from Alamo on Saturday am? We can try to meet near tramway and I-40 or the cedar crest exit at I40 depending on which way you come up from the south.
Did you actually get up before 9:30 a.m. at Moab?
I usually get up at about 7am. I usually WAKE up when something significant happens:

OK guys - so it's almost time! I take it we're going to spend a little time with wrenches...figure out a limiting strap for Cap'n, finish up some steering for Cuecible, I have some steel brake lines to install, but that's not urgent. I got my oil leak addressed (I think) and the new muffler's not going in just yet. Cap'n - I'm going to have to pass on the kegerator. My wife pointed out, accurately, that I do not need an excuse to drink more beer. Anyone need some miscellaneous gen1 stuff? I have a full size spare (the orginal, so not sure how much I'd trust that ol' BFG), some KYB shocks, stock intake box, stock t bars, rear bumper (the middle part not the end caps). I'll look tonight and see what else
