I picked up a 2001 Frontier a few weeks ago and last weekend I dismantled it with the help of my dad and some friends. I just realized that the Fronty is spring over...but, how is that possible?
Slightly longer springs with the mounting points further out? Supposedly the SOA design allows for more load handling. Which in a pickup is a good thing.
One thing is for sure, I wish they were all spring over. Loft blocks are cheap.
I bought an axle last fall out of a frontier with an arb and its spring over. Thought about selling the housing but might hold on just incase I ever sas
All the Pathfinders with the H233b ran links and coils, some even came with rear disk brakes. Nissan's are like Lego's the same pieces in many builds just put together a little different each time.
The frontiers are odd balls some 2wd trucks are completely designed around a 2wd based vehicle completely different IFS. Others like the Desert runner are the 4wd version just absent the front diff and transfer case.
