Ok so this is my lovely wife Becca. We were talking about the Xterra today and I asked her what we should name the truck. Without any delay she said to name it Xtacy. For the truck and the plans it is a great name. I have to give her a lot of credit especially how quick she said it. It just goes to show I got insanely lucky to find a hot gear head chick as her who dosnt mind getting dirty in the mud on the trail or even at the track. Or better yet she will even get her fingernails dirty under the hood.

I never named my rigs...they were always whatever my friends referred to them as.

So for work, I off road a lot historically, and, the company would have an assortment of rigs in various configurations depending on the "mission".

My wife always thought it was dumb to name a truck though.

I finally got her to go off roading with me though...and after all the "Stop, we're going to DIE! OH SHEIT!!!! We're going to FLIP!!!!" and all that....


...we finally got to the trails.


ON the trails, she was actually fine. Unfortunately, the very first time she off roaded with me, I hydrolocked the engine, and, well, I and my buds were shocked at how well she took it.

(She's on the roof because moments earlier, the seats were under water....so she climbed up there to stay dry)


On this occasion, she was asked what we call our truck. She replied, "Right now, I think we should call it a Tow Truck".

Ive got a buddy that off-roads a 81 chevy step side. He refers to the x as "the little b****h that could" LOL.... Hes all the time like I thought we would have broke that thing along time ago.

My wife had never been wheeling before we met. After the first time she went with me, she was hooked. And essentially told me to mod the X as much as I wanted so we could go on harder trails. Her exact words were "As long as there's money in the bank to live, do what you want."

So I am. Heh.

But she got me, so far, the shrock front bumper, sliders and Warn 9.5xp winch, CB stuff, and several other off road goodies....for Xmas, birthday, etc.

And I get everything else for free/company expense account to cover mods needed for projects.
