What happened to Lokka and are there any alternatives?

I ordered an Lokka back in august. Looking around the net they don't seem to respond to any inquiries or deliver products paid for. I took my front diff out in anticipation of receiving the Lokka and I'm growing tired of waiting to get my Xterra back together again. Are there any other front lunchbox lockers available for the first gen?

negative, lokka, or arb's, those are your locker options
Not true anymore. There's a newer company called TRE that's Makin e-lockers for the c200 in the first gens. I believe they also make them for the h233b in the rear too.

(you have to choose the c200 from the drop down, BTW).

I was going to go that route, but word from the 4x4 world is has it that none of the major manufacturers have ever really heard of TRE. That coupled with the fact that they burst on to the scene with air lockers for a zillion vehicles all at once. I think we all know that's not how R&D works. IMO run 'em at your own risk.

FWIW though, looking at their compressor offerings, they are either an ARB in another package, or a direct reverse engineered knock off. The single compressor looks to be identical other than color.

I didn't say they're trustworthy, only that they exist.

That being said, I'm tempted to try out the e-locker myself. I've not heard that they're junk either.

TRE is basically a Chinese knockoff of the ARB as far as air lockers. Even the compressor is the same but different colors. I wouldn’t trust knockoffs for something important like in an axle. Not sure about their elocker but have seen threads regarding problems with the M205 one. I’ve not seen any reviews of M226/C200/R180.

I've heard the same. Which is unfortunate. IMO an e-locker for the 205 would be ideal. But they're the only game in town.
