I had tossed around the idea before of a non-wheeling meet up, so here goes!
I figured before the holidays are all upon us and everyone's time is booked up, why not get together, put screen names to faces, talk about our rigs, and make some future wheeling plans? I know some of us have met on the trails before but not everyone can always make the run. Well since this is a non-wheeling event even the members who are not trail ready at the moment can attend!
What is really awesome is that I was able to secure a place in Richmond that we can do these meet ups more often. There is a brewery called Strangeways Brewing that has offered to host bi-monthly meet ups for those who can make them.
(Yes, I am working on securing places in other parts of the state too, more news to come).
So, with that, the details!
When: November 16th at 2pm

Who: You! Of course, spouses and significant others as well, I mean it's not like this is some secret society or anything
Why: Because something about Xterras and Craft beer go together like bacon and eggs.
Also, gives everyone a chance to meet each other face to face and get to know one another. I plan on getting some ideas from everyone during this time regarding trail runs, regular mod days, general interest level, etc. We can talk all day long on the forum, but really to get the VAXC to a good place we are going to need to come together and figure things out.
I let them know because we have so many members in the military and with varying work hours that we could have anywhere from 4 people and upwards of 20, depending on if people bring tag-a-longs. They are aware and are excited to have us come on by. Also - they have food trucks come to the brewery and set up right in front, so there will be food.
