Upper and Lower Ball Joints and...

Hello all,

I'm getting ready to replace the upper and lower ball joints and just wanted to ask if there is anything special I need to know to effect repairs on my own.

I'm looking to order a set from Amazon and came up with this set. Does this look like these are good-enough parts:

Short answer, no. Use Hitachi tie rods, and if your ball joints need replacement, you may want to check the pivot bushings as well. It's probably time for a major refresh. Use quality parts.

I would do the whole control arms VS just the ball joints.

This. It just makes more sense. The arms aren't that expensive and it's two bolts up top and a Sawzall and new bolts on the bottom.
