Saw this Hummer today in Franklin, TN. I pulled over to stop and talk to the owner. This rig has been to Windrock and Moab, and has rolled over at both. 14,000lbs total weight. Rear wheel steering. 41" super swampers. Custom toolbox on the back weighs 1000lbs empty.

Lol. You gotta love the dual fire extinguishers mounted on the hood. If you look at the picturess closely you'll see the case for the chainsaw he carries. Inside the tool box he carries two racing style floor jacks. They must weigh 80 lbs each. He also has several half axles and an array of suspension and drivetrain parts. He said he wheels it pretty hard and breaks alot of stuff. And for some reason he has stuffed animals attached here and there on the rig. I didnt ask about the story on those. The rear steering setup is the third version he has fabbed up himself. The other two didnt work so well. Looking in the rear driverside wheelwell I could see where, because of the turning ability, the tire had worn holes into the massive exhaust pipe that is inboard of the wheel well.

I like the H1 line but this one is a bit much for me. Not saying it isn't a badass rig just feels like to much going on for me.

That is a really, really nice rig, but my mind keeps screaming back "FOURTEEN THOUSAND POUNDS?!"

That's about double what it weighed when it left the factory.

I love the H1's but this is a bit much for me. That is just too much gear for me. Now, if I frequently used it for expeditions then yea, that a rig to have because it has everything you would ever need. If it isn't an expo rig, then that's just too much for offroading

There's definitely things I would change.. First and foremost being the wheels. But I still would love to have this rig.

It would be so ridiculously impractical just to cruise around the town all the time but going off for weeks at a time or it's doomsday... he's the hero.
