Transmission troubles

Roughly two and a half months ago, the transmission started leaking severely around the front seal.

Had the local shop diagnose and replace the seals and the torque converter.

Once again, the transmission is leaking around the front seal and is back at the shop. What I gathered was that the bushing has worn down and causing the torque converter to not seat properly.

Anyone out there have any experience with this?

Finally my Xterra has returned. Come to find out, the previous owner had some "work" done that wasn't quite up to par. After a new transmission, new torque converter and seals, it's back in my possession. Moral of the story: just because the exterior is clean doesn't always equate to clean interior.

It was a painful process. But the work needed to be done. Time will tell how well it holds up, but so far so good!
