To Sway Bar, or not to Sway Bar?

So here it is, bear with me (or link me) if I've screwed the pooch with my search engine debacle.

For those of you, who like me, use your X as a DD as well as an off roader, I want to hear how the X handles with the Sway Bar removed on road. I'd love the extra flex off road and I'm not sure I want to keep putting it on and taking it off every time I hit the dirt!

No BS assessment!

Ditch that b!+ch and burn it in a celebrated fire of glory and spite........:hihi:

Does no good on road and can damage your driver side shock offroad. DITCH IT NOWWWWW

I cut my rear one off at nXm and can't tell a difference. That includes going 80mph all the way to Oklahoma from Virginia.

Sent from my mansion in Grouchland.

Well mine rides smoother without it.....granted the bracket on one side was broken and I didn't know until I went to take it off....so for me it made a huge difference!!!!!

Don't remove the front though ... Minimal benefit and the tie rods and CL are way more vulnerable

But yeah, you can destroy the rear immediately in whatever spectacular fashion you choose

I can tell in body roll on mine with it off, most people report that they don't feel the same though. But I have a history driving race cars.

Even though I notice it I typically don't drive hard enough that it's an issue. I probably would put it back on there before pulling a trailer.

On a first gen, I wouldn't put it on for any reason, towing or otherwise. They are defective and dangerous.

Ditto, but, I stopped caring pretty fast, and have pulled trailers without it too.

Hell, I roll through a cloverleaf marked 35 at 65-70 daily, almost enough to get some good mud tire bark from loss of traction and there isn't enough body roll to worry me

I have both removed on my gen 2. I notice quite a bit of body roll with the front sway bar off. Having said that, I am running 5" Calmini SL and I have a 35" spare strapped to the hood which certainly "aids" in body roll.

Haha this was pretty much spot-on what I'm looking for. I don't generally drive even 5 over the limit but, ya know... Just in case n stuff. ☺️

Now, keep in mind, I have HEAVY load range E tires with badass sidewalls, and whatever the difference in suspension is in an offroad model, so...user experience may vary.
