Just finished the AC 3' lift. I have the torsion bars cranked to just right but the rear AAL is still making the rear waaaaay taller then I first thought. I just wasn't sure, I've asked several buddies and have been told by a few that have done some rear AAL that the back will soften up and bring it down some in about a month. Was just wondering if a few people on XN that are running the AC 3' lift with Bilsteins had this same issue and it did lower its self after awhile.

And here's a picture of what I mean. (the green one btw lol )

Its the Shackles.. Put the stock shackles back on and you will be fine... This is a typical deal..
Keep your shackles incase your start to sag a little down the road...

Look up Mirage or RacerXXL.. I know they both had this issue

did you get shackles too? I had to go back to stock shackles with the 3 pc AAL to get it down some, and its still a tad high.

Mine is the same way. I have the front the recommended distance from the bump-stops, but the rear was more than 3" taller with the AAL. I have had mine on for a year, and they have not sagged, or softened. After talking to my friend about it, he said that the AAL won't sag a whole lot, if any at all. A total new leaf pack would though.

Hmmm I know I've tightened up the torsion bars a little more then what the auto shops around here have recommended but honestly half of them are idiots.... one told me it was my new shocks that were limiting the front from raising to the full 3' because there to small...., Another also told me that the front couldn't be raised higher then factory angles like this - - with the lower A-Arms where they should be like this now / \ with the new upper A-Arms (not as steep just giving an example of the angles of the lower A-Arms). They even destroyed my Torsion bar adjustment bolts with an air wrench and no PB or WD and completely destroyed the thread.. But I was going to ask if some one with an AC lift could take a picture of their Upper A-Arms and the distance from the bump-stop. I have mine right around the distance of a dime so about 1/2 an inch.

Let us all get some clarification:

How many leafs did you have on your stock pack?
Did you only get a single AAL?
Did you remove the over load leaf like recommended by A/C?
Did you measure the before and after in the front and rear?

It sounds like you have the front adjusted up about like it should be so it seems it must be in the rear.

By the way, I have the same set up but with Rancho shocks. I was sitting completely even for a while with a single AAL so I actually added the shackle later on to mine and now it has about a inch or so rake back in it but not as much as yours seems to have.

It's the AC 3 AAL and yes I did remove the over load spring. The front can't be adjusted any more or I'm getting waaaay to close to the bump stops. From what it's sounding like is the AAL on te rear is to stiff and I'm either going to have to take the smallest leaf off the bottom of the pack or just leave it as it is.

Yeah, definitely sound like you need to remove one if not maybe two. It seems a lot of X's are affected differently with the same lift parts though.

I only got 2" of lift in the rear from the single add a leaf I first installed, my stock pack had 3 leafs but I removed the over load leaf too.
