Ticking noise, not a lifter

Brand new here and hoping to find some answers... I have an 01 xe that out of no where has a ticking sound, not a lifter. After she warms up it only does it when I'm in drive, park and neutral not a sound. I've been thinking exhaust leak or manifold. Its definitely drivers side underneath the block. I have taken the wheel off to check the manifold but I dont see any cracks or anything that stood out. I even compared it to the passenger side. Any type of help or input would be very much appreciated. Pretty sure it's related but am throwing a p0430 cat system bank 2 code

I had a similar ticking, but mine was coming from the passenger side. It's now more than a tick and only can really be heard when under power. From what I've heard, the pass side exhaust manifold frequently cracks, or is a common problem, but I guess the same could be had for the driver's side. Maybe that side just cracked before the other. I'm replacing mine with used eBay headers, but haven't done it yet because I also hear it's a huge pain in the ass.

I did have other exhaust leaks at the left side cat, which may be your issue. In my case, it was just a rotten clamp, or some other MacGyverism, that I was then able to MacGyver back together. If it's cold where you live, start the truck, hang out underneath, and look for steam and/or condensation puddles.

Good luck and welcome to the Asylum!
