OK I've done the try and do it local thing and I'm over it.
If I'm gonna order skids online who from?
I keep hearing horror stories about Shrock,true?

Any advice greatly appriciated.

I have skid row. They are local to me so it was the obvious choice. Great people to even let us hang out in the shop and showed us there fabrication process

I have shrock. And two of them I bought new. The wait time was no more then a month for either skid and they were delivered when promised.

I have Skid Row but I bought them used. They're quality skids but I'm sure Shrock is too. I have heard bad things as well about Shrock taking forever...

Also, I know Skid Row has great customer service. Like I said, I bought them used and I didn't have any hardware so I called them and they sent all the hardware (and a sticker ) and only charged for the custom size u-bolts. Now, that may not be the case with everybody but that gave a good example to me of their customer service.

I'm waiting on shrock skids right now. The lead time for skids/sliders is much better than a bumper. I was told I should have them around the 1 month mark, 6 weeks at the latest.

Skid row has a scratch and dent skid for 100$ on their site already.. seeing how you will scratch and dent them anyway.. why not just pick that cheap on and have them make the rest of them..

No I bought my Shrocks right from Shrock. Just call them up and tell them what you need. I alos liked shrocks better then Skid row. The trans skid covers the torsion bars on the Shrocks where the skid row does not.

Like 3 weeks ago, I got bare steel. Powdercoat adds another week or so

Edit: got email from Mark just now - "Dave, your skids are in packaging now. They’ll be going out in the next day or 2."
I placed my order Feb 26th

Picked up a full set of Skid Row's last month at the shop (which they had in stock, no waiting).. placed the order Wednesday and picked them up Saturday.

I was blown away that there are only 2 people that work there.. Eric the owner does all of the design, fabrication, etc. and Pam handles the office side. Eric is chill as hell and is a real down to earth dude. Me and my buddies talked with him for at least an hour or two about his various projects and whatnot

With shrock you can also pay 50% now and 50% when the skids are done, which is nice
