SEL issues?

Hey all,

I just picked up a relatively clean '02 SE S/C, automatic. It's been great so far, had it checked out by a mechanic. 2 weeks after owning it, the SEL light came on. I took it to autozone and had the codes read. It came up with P0455, and P0328. Did some reading, and found out that the first code is an evap leak, and the second is for a knock sensor. The knock sensor one is throwing me for a loop, because apparently if the knock sensor is bad, it retards the timing, and because my car is supercharged, backs off the boost or kills it entirely (not sure).

My question (that I couldn't find an answer to) is this: I'm getting on average between 10-12 MPG, which seems low even for these cars (driving very conservatively). I'm also struggling for power on steep hills before the engine kicks down to a lower gear. It makes me think the knock sensor is bad, but at the same time, when I step on the gas, I can still hear the whine of the charger. Are there any things I can do while driving to see what is going on, or are there other things I should be looking at?

Cheers!

The knock sensor is putting the truck in limp mode, the super charger will always spin as long as the belt is hooked up to it, but the boost is lost.

Now the evap leak could be a few places, with a loose gas cap being the easiest. If not a smoke test about the easiest way to find it.
