Rust repair

Hello i would like some advice on what to do with my x it has reached the point where I'm not sure if some of the rust on it is fixable anymore. I know where I live in ohio a little but of rust is inevitable and mine isn't nearly as bad as some of the other trucks on the road in this area. With that being said I also know that wheeling isn't good for rust prevention either I have accepted that. I just want to be able to keep my x for a long time and I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that if the rust gets any worse. The inner front fenders are both rusted where they meet the firewall and it's starting to eat into the firewall which seems like a major issue to me. Here are the pics

Along with the rust in the pics I have a spot on my roof where the roof rack bolts to it, the passenger side front door and rear wheel well are starting to rot to. My hood and rear hatch will probably need replaced in the near future also.

My question is have any of you fixed anything like this before? Is it difficult? Or should I look for a different truck mechanically mine is in good shape i just don't want to put any more money into mods and maintenance on this truck to have it rust out I would rather find a new x and start fresh with less or no rust. Then I can try to stay ahead of the rust instead of having so much to fix the I dont know where to start .
Thanks, kevin

On your rust spots, are they rusted through, or just rusty and you want to treat them? Rust proofers like POR-15 will seal those areas. You rough off any flaky parts, and then paint it with the rust encapsulator. I use POR 15 on my old VWs because its the roughest toughest I've found. permanent to skin btw. But if you dont need welding yet, there are products that seal rust for a long long time.

I think the rockers and front inner fenders may require some welding but I could try something like that on the other spots they aren't rusted through yet. Thanks I'll look into the por-15
