Rough Idle Until Warm???

I am having trouble recently with the X idling rough when warming up. If I am driving it doesn't sputter just when stopped but it does have a bogged down feeling sometimes. Once warmed up it completely stops the rough idle. What is causing this?? At first I thought spark plugs but that would happen even if warm. So now I am at a loss but I want to fix it myself I can't afford a shop so please help me out. Thanks.

Distributor. Check the distributor cap and the rotary(??)

Idle air control valve Maybe Cyclemutt will pop in on this but from researching this.. Im replacing one this weekend.. That seems to be the Number 1 area to look into.

Would that not throw a code?? I have a scanner and nothing is showing up. If it is it how difficult is that to replace?

In reply to the distributor that is fine I have checked it and I cleaned all of it's contact points. I had to replace it and the plugs and wires just a few months back anyway.
